In Logan Township, NJ, Dr. Schar owns and operates a 50,000 sq. ft. industrial bakery that requires large quantities of energy to precisely control the mixing, rising, baking and freezing of its products. Historically, Schar used a more personnel-intensive approach to insure product quality. Consequently, Schar was interested in reducing its energy costs as well as reducing the need for human intervention.
Energy Efficient Technologies designed and installed a custom control system to tie all the components together which created a more efficient and precise operating environment. When combined with two new Advantix liquid desiccant dehumidification systems, the energy improvements generated substantial reductions in energy costs for Schar. In addition, Schar can control the plant from a touch screen located in the plant, or a laptop or smartphone remotely.
