EET conducted a thorough CryoGenX4 validation for DaVita Kidney Care, which operates 3,507 locations. Using two separate testing methods across seven sites and 60% of the equipment, savings were validated.
Overall, the testing demonstrated an 18.8% energy savings across all testing days, as measured by an investment-grade kWh utility meter, which remains online and continues to record data via the internet.
The results below highlight efficiency improvements based on equipment age, using the ASHRAE and Department of Energy's recommended testing method. This method, compares equipment performance before and after deploying an energy conservation measure. This is the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP, Option B) on 12 machines across 7 locations. These savings are produced every time the units operate—year after year—for the lifespan of the equipment.

EET also installed investment-grade kWh meters on HVAC equipment at three facilities. These meters provide the most accurate validation of savings, as they measure precisely what the utility bill charges.
Since going online in May, these meters have remained active, consistently recording savings. By comparing nearly identical weather conditions, the kWh meters revealed exact savings, averaging 18.8% for equipment with an average age of five years. Below are the results, with baseline measurements (before any work) on the left and post-installation figures (after CryoGenX4) on the right:
