In 2023, the manufacturer of CryoGenX4 with careful
coordination and logistical support from the Engineering
Team at the Kraft-Heinz plant in San Jose, Costa Rica,
began a chiller performance improvement demonstration.
Detailed baseline and post measurements were taken of
the nominal 30-ton Carrier Aqua Snap chiller. The
purpose of this exercise was to demonstrate the potential
financial savings and increased efficiency achieved when
introducing the energy control measure (ECM)
CRYOGENX4 to the chiller through the suction side port.
The location for this demonstration was jointly selected by the parties involved to show how the ECM performs on chiller equipment common to the worldwide Kraft-Heinz portfolio of this type and age.
